Compact

Combining their love of the outdoors with a desire to escape the hectic city life at the weekend, this couple took full advantage of breath-taking views by building a three bedroom compact home on their elevated bush block just an hour and a half from the city centre.

The extreme challenges of the block with its lack of services and rocky, steep contours did not pose a problem for the Form Homes team as their friction footing system allows building organically in response to the natural contours of the land with ease.

Given the home would be used as a weekender it was paramount that the finishes selected were low maintenance and durable enough for the rugged bush setting.

Addressing Bushfire Attack Level requirements was also a pre-requisite for the build and through informed material selection, Form Homes was easily able to meet all of the necessary benchmarks without compromising the style, comfort or functionality of the home.

The clients took full advantage of Form’s ability to provide a custom design solution spring-boarding from their standard designs, to ensure the home was suitable for gatherings with extended families including grandchildren and the family dog.
